This past weekend, AIGA New Orleans celebrated the beginning of its 10-year anniversary with a big party at the Musee Conti Wax Museum in the French Quarter. Tons of folks came out to help celebrate!
We also had the opportunity to recognize the winners of our Student Groups Competition and present our annual Collegiate Excellence Award.
Student Groups Competition
This year’s Student Groups Competition centered around the theme of “Disaster Preparedness“. We were committed to developing the theme around something that would ultimately help solve a problem faced by those of us who live in the Gulf South. This is also the first time we had accepted motion entries!
Best of Print Design: Alonzo Felix, Louisiana State University

Best of Motion Design: Eliza Schulze, Loyola University
Collegiate Excellence Award
This year’s Collegiate Excellence Award went to Loyola University senior, Eliza Schulze! Eliza has consistently shown excellent work across the span of her academic career at Loyola and and plans to continue developing her talent and skills after her graduation in May 2009.
Some samples of Eliza’s work:

Special thanks to our judges, Samia Saleem (http://www.corpusnyc.com/) and Frank Baseman (http://www.basemandesign.com/)
