Announcing the Slate of 2012-2014 Executive Board and Board of Directors

This past weekend, AIGA New Orleans held a strategic planning meeting and open call for volunteers and nominees to fill its Board of Directors and necessary chairpersons for the board cycle running from August 2012 - August 2014.
The following individuals were nominated and confirmed by those in attendance for the following positions:
- Samantha Barnes - President
- Magen Raine Massey - Vice President
- Julia Rose Sevin - Secretary and Project Manager
- Joshua Matthews - Finance Director
- Lízbeth Romero - Resources Director
- Richard Doubleday of Louisiana State University - Education Director
- Reba Joy Billups - Student Groups Coordinator
- Adam Smith - Communications Director
- Azu Roma - Social Engagement Director
- Nancy Sharon Collins - Special Projects Director (continuing)
As has become customary in recent years, we are presenting this slate of members for review and acceptance by the membership at large. You will have until midnight of August 31, 2012 to voice any objections to this group, otherwise they will be confirmed with the national office of AIGA.

Open Board Positions
For those interested in serving the board, we are looking for motivated members ready for a 1-2 year commitment for the following positions:
- Professional Development Director
- Membership Director
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Event Chairs for programs such as CMYK, Parallels, and In-House initiatives
