History of Graphic Design in South Louisiana Project

AIGA NOLA has embarked on a mission to chronicle, preserve and make available this rich history that our chapter has become. We are:

  • working with the T. Harry Williams Center for Oral History, part of the Special Collections Department of the Hill Memorial Library, Louisiana State University.
  • affiliated with The American Printing History Association Oral History Project.
  • working with local AIGA board members and all members, current and past.
  • working with former ADDA members.
  • collecting materials for a permanent digital archive.
  • collecting individual stories and oral histories from all commercial artists practicing in south Louisiana for twenty-one years or more.

If you have materials that you would like to donate and or a story you want to tell, please contact us.

If you would like to be trained in taking oral histories and help us collect them for this project, please contact us.
